Bimpack started from a simple observation: on a construction project the schedule lives in a file, the budget in a spreadsheet, the drawings in email, and the 3D model on one person's computer. Each tool is right on its own, and together they start contradicting each other at the first revision. We are building the workspace that brings them together.
The conviction
Putting the model you already have to work
Most construction firms already have BIM models: their architects and engineering practices produce them. They are mostly used for looking at, because opening one takes an equipped workstation and a licence. Yet those files already contain the quantities, the materials and the storey of every item of work.
Our conviction: that data can go much further. Every element of the model can carry its schedule task and its budget line, the "4D/5D BIM" the market talks about as an ideal reserved for large groups, in a tool a small firm adopts in ten minutes, in a browser, in French, English or Arabic.
